YOUTH CLASSES 2022/2023 – 5 Week Classes – $85
YOUNG SQUIRES – Fencing for ages 5-7
No fencing experience is required!
Class size is limited to 10 students. Plastic weapons will be used in this class. All classes are on Wednesdays 5:15- 6:00pm pm
WINTER/ SPRING 2023
Session 1 – Jan 18 – Feb 15 Session 2 – Feb 22 – March 22 Session 3 – April 12 – May 10
BEGINNING – Fencing for ages 7 – 13.
No prior experience required. WMFA will charge an additional $25 for equipment rental per Session if you need to borrow equipment. These classes are offered on Mondays from 5:30 – 6:30pm
WINTER/ SPRING 2023
Session 1 – Jan 9 – Feb 6
Session 2 – Feb 20 – March 20
Session 3 – March 27 – May 1 (no April 3)
Session 4 – May 8 – June 12 (no memorial day)
GROUP YOUTH FOIL (ages 8-12) Pre-requisite is the Beginning Class
Fun and engaging foil fencing class in a positive and supporting atmosphere for youth fencers who have already attended the beginning, 5 week, WMFA classes. WMFA membership required. Class will include games and physical conditioning exercises, foil fencing footwork and drills, and directed bouting in groups selected by experience.
More experienced fencers will be using electric equipment. Classes will be held twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and taught by Head Coach Michael Nemecek and Coach Doug Green.
Fencing equipment is required and may be purchased or rented from WMFA. Students may be eligible to apply for scholarship reimbursement
These classes run all year long starting the week of Sept. 9
