We expect you to be of good will with one another when differences arise and be generous and flexible as we strive to meet the needs of all our fencers.

1. Fencers must behave in a sportsmanlike manner at all times. Behavior that would get you a warning or yellow card at a competition will get you a warning or yellow card at the academy. This includes but is not limited to the following specific prohibitions.

.Yelling (unless you just scored a touch – or thought you did)
.Misuse of equipment (including hooking and unhooking from the overheads in middle of the strip)                                                                 .Dangerous of vindictive fencing
.Shouting matches
.Fighting
.Threats
.Extreme unsportsmanlike conduct
.Failure to follow the directives of the manager, coach or board member on duty.

Fencers who continue to violate these guidelines after being told to stop may be required to stop fencing for the evening.

2. When differences of opinions arise, fencers are expected to resolve such differences quickly,

Fencers who are blackcarded more than once or whose behavior is particularly egregious are subject to suspension from the academy and will be prohibited from the use of the facilities.
The WMFA Board of Directors will review all black cards at their next meeting and fencers may appeal suspensions to the Board of Directors. The Boards decision will be final.
